Colleen’s Interview on KQED’s Forum with Michael Krasny
After writing to Michael Krasny, the host and co-producer of Forum, for many years encouraging him to do a show on veganism and animal advocacy, I was invited onto the program to talk to him and callers about this very topic. I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s the most popular call-in show in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it’s also heard around the country (world?) on Sirius Satellite. My co-guest was Chloe Coscarelli, the lovely new author of Chloe’s Kitchen. Although I wish I could have answered/addressed every question posed, there simply wasn’t time. The studio was inundated with calls and emails, a testament to the importance of this topic.
Listen using the player below, or visit the link to the episode’s page on the KQED website. I believe there are a lot of positive comments on that page, but I do encourage you to resist responding to the negative ones.
Also, please take a moment to write to the producers of Forum, thanking them for doing this show and encouraging them to have me back on to talk about animals, compassion, food, and ethics.

Great job, Colleen and Chloe, of showing the joyous side and debunking myths. The cookbooks of both of yours are superior. Thank you KQED, for such a show I can send to my friends.
